[SOLVED]Argh camera scrolling in mmf2 D:

how do i make the screen scroll to follow my character? :x

I'd like to do something cave story-esque, so if anyone knows that i'd like it, but it isnt needed. I just need regular platformer screen scrolling to follow my character

Always
--> Center display X at: X("Character")
--> Center display Y at: Y("Character")

those two actions are under the Storyboard -> Scrollings menus

EDIT: wait

CS scrolling is more complex since you have to add delays and crap in the movemnet

Alright, it works, but ive ran into a problem


the camera won't stop scrolling, and, it sometimes tends to throw my character underneath the ground if im going near stairs or something

that, and. the camera scrolls rather fast and moves my character along with it, which sort of speeds him up, which i do not want D:

well thats cool and all but uh


how the hell do i put that in my own game

copy the associated objects into your frame then select the events and copy them into the event editor, you can then replace some of the objects with your own. you might need to mod it a bit but the code is all there.

just copy and paste

the physics are a bit slippery, but it's not much of a bother
