If you mean the weird symbols on the poke watch map, just for marking things I guess

You only have to see them to have them to get the National 'dex.

Yeah, I know, I just heard that you can go into battle with them, run, and they'll still be there

But I tried just now and it said "Uxie/Azelf went deep into the cave", I went back out and back in and it was gone
