I think you mean time to hatch because the first egg I got in 300 steps and then the next egg I got in (joke aside) over 9000 steps. If it was based on steps then that makes no sense on the current data at my disposal.

GUNS - LOTS OF GUNS Group: Members Posts: 5396 Member No.: 455 Joined: 2-June 04 Status: (0d)	Jak is right; the problem is that it's not guaranteed, there's really a dice roll that basically determines how soon you can get an egg, usually it'll be pretty quick, but with some obscenely bad luck, you can reach lulls where you're not hatching 5 eggs at once, etc. Just keep riding; aside from making sure "They get along" you can't do anything more --------------------

To my knowledge sir, the natures do not affect breeding; only the species. Certain species are less compatible with one another, i.e. all Dittos take longer to make eggs with a pokemon than say a set of two of the same species would.
