Diamond/Pearl battle thread

Anyone want to battle me? I'll battle anyone as long as the lvl difference isn't to high. I have:

lvl 21 Prinplup, Lvl 13 Starly, Lvl 10 Onix, Lvl 8 Zubat, Lvl 10 Shinx, and lvl 11 Geodude

MAJOR PROBLEMS ON WIFI BATTLING FAIRNESS.
PLEASE READ.

I battled a friend just now, and he used a Spiritomb, which I had never seen before. It had wonderguard, which only allows super effective moves to defeat it.

I tried to find the right move type, but nothing worked. So I lost.

Meda then told me that Spiritomb is a Dark/Ghost, meaning it has no weaknesses, and what's worse, SPRITOMB DOESN'T USE WONDERGUARD. IT WAS A CHEATED POKEMON.

He later told me he got it from a trade, and vowed to never use it again.

But this is the worst part: remember all the things Nintendo said about disallowing cheated Pokemon onto wifi? Pokemon with wrong moves and wrong stats and things? Well it's all lies. Because I shouldn't have battled a Spiritomb with an ability that makes it invincible. And now I have a loss on my record that is a fake loss.

I urge you to keep caution, and report any illegal play to this thread, so a blacklist can be formed. I don't have that wifi-fair-player button in my sig for no reason!

Just be glad a Friend Code system exists, I keep a blacklist and I don't plan to stray outside what and who I have on it, cheating is pretty rampant... so yeah

But what the hell ever happened with that big list of disallowed wifi Pokemon?

Remember? No Pokemon below the level you can get them at? No Pokemon with moves they can't use? Where the hell is all that?

Does it matter? dont battle random people.

L2play PK, seriously, it didn't have illegal Stats. Wifi doesnt allow extra EVs and such.

He's an MFGGer.

And is illegal stats any worse than illegal ability? How would you like to fight a Wonderguard Spiritomb?

So you're saying I could hack a Zigzagoon to have Wonderguard, Roar of Time, Sunny Day, and Solarbeam, so long as I keep its EVs within the required range?

Not to mention Spiritomb is Ghost/Dark. No super-weaknesses. Spiritomb + Wonder Guard is pretty dang close to Spiritomb with a Starman: impenetrable.

I know what wonder guard is, I've seen it before.
But to battle against a Pokemon that ISN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO USE IT? And by doing so with its types, DARK/GHOST, is nigh unbeatable?

How can you NOT be annoyed? That's one of the lowest things.

If you say that's another case of "learn to play right", you're nothing more than a sophist.

EACH WEAKNESS ONE HAS, IS CANCELLED BY THE OTHER!

Sorry about the caps, but I can't believe you're still not recognizing that it's set up so that one move that, from what I know, is learned by only ONE Pokemon, can break its defense. Not everybody's gonna have that move. Which, in turn, makes that type to be ACTUALLY unbeatable.

Welcome to internet play. its full of cheaters. Deal with it!

Sure, what you are playing against is not fun at all but you should grow up and realize that these "UNBEATABLE HAX" arent allowed in REAL tournaments. So stfu and deal with it.

So you're perfectly ok with people cheating to victory and winning things against players who are trying to play fair, with no effort?

I'm not ok with it. I am just merely aware that it happens and that there is no way to avoid it.

I know that when I want competitive matches, I don't look to message boards like MFGG for random matches.

Damn it, it's just a game. Stop whining, fighting and get back to playing.
