I decided to try to make a game, but I'm using UM's engine because I can't program worth crap, so I decided to use his engine. Story, copied from in game, but it's in the game because I want the game to have a story, and not just be another platformer with no story.Long long ago....when the Game Boy was new to the world, a game was created, and was called Super Mario Land. Super Mario Land was a popular Game Boy game, and was loved by many people. After Super Mario Land, there was Super Mario Land 2, in which Mario returned to Nintendo's popular portable. After that, Super Mario Land, was no more, instead, the consoles got platforming attention, and as the years continued, Mario got new abilities, and he must use them to fight the evil Bowser in....*goes to title screen*I really don't have a good title screen, and I don't have screenshots, but I'll have to get the screenshots, and get a better title screen tomorrow, as I didn't have enough time today, and I wanted to release this demo before I go. If there's any glitches or problems, please say so, and if you know how, please tell me how to fix them. And constructive criticism is NEEDED, I don't care how mean it will sound, I need constructive criticism so I can fix this game's problems tomorrow. And....good night! game link, demo 1.0

Mostly everything looks fine, technical-wise.
The design, however, is too harsh. For one, there are too many hard enemies--the first platform itself is way too congested. If the Hammer Bro jumps over the koopa shell, you're done for, and the monty moles are too fast. Restricting it to one or two goombas on that first platform would be fine, especially given it's the first stage of the game. The other main problem in design are the blind leaps of faith. Far too often will the next platform be out of view because they're too low. When I can't see the next platform, I assume that below me is a bottomless pit. Then I have to run and jump and hope I land on something. Forcing your players to have that sort of hope is not good.
Keep it up, though, it was quite fun.
