I would suggest that the running speed changes when you hold down space instead of tapping it. And when you release it mario walks slow again.

if you keep dropping stuff eventually the physics will behave erratically. it won't happen in real game situations because their won't be that many physics objects allowed.

What sprites, you mean the models?
ps I have made the jumping much like m64/sunshine now, you can control yourelf during a jump and can move about. very impressed by it myself and a massive improvement over what you had in other demo.

The ability to save all the objects you've placed would be nice, along with no limit for how high you can go.

Because I made a neat little obstacle course, but I couldn't save it, OR complete it because I couldn't jump high enough past that invisible barrier.

Oh and I forgot to say that I love it. biggrin.gif

About the open source, I wouldn't worry about that, Blitz is nearly 80-100 bucks, mucho dinero, so I wouldn't worry about the open-source overuseveness, and even if the source is released, I doubt many people could create a good game without a incredible education in Blitz Code.

And this... is godly.

I'm really impressed by this. As far as the engine goes, it'd be so much better if you could control your movement while jumping. Right now you can't change direction at all.

@shadowman i've done that, expect a better demo soon with the proper jumping. I only put that jump in for people who were asking 'why no jump?' without out putting a real jump in. It will still need tweaking, balancing etc but it's very good.

@megatailzchao I am creating an editor for that purpose, create, save load levels etc, its not very advanced yet, but you will be able to edit everything, including game physics.
While i haven't done anything on mission/quest/level scripting, i am going to make it simple so people can create a world, set targets ie collect 100 coins, star appears at x,y,z or if you kill the goombas in this order the invisible bridge appears. I want to use this for my own personal use to, for non a mario game i'll hopefully make.

ps the reason im doing this with mario is the fact that im a huge mario fan and dreamed of creating a 3d game with mario.

I believe that's a directory problem, because I think I remember having it before. Instead of just dragging it out of the archive, try properly extracting to make sure all the directories are in the correct place.

If that doesn't work, I dunno.
