I wouldn't go out like a total excessive-pleasure-seeker and go crazy, that's for sure.

I think I'd start preparing for the afterlife, myself.

I'm not sure... if I was in his position and didn't have any immediate relatives who were in great need, I'd probably go on a crazy spend spree too. I'd also spend some time preparing for the afterlife as Grant put it, but you can't expect people to adhere to your same religious beliefs. And when I found out I was misdiagnosed, well, first of all I'd be pissed. Secondly, I'd do everything in my power to overcome the hardship of life to come, including sue. I think if anyone was in a position as bad as his, they'd do the same. I sympathize with him.

I have mixed feelings about this subject.
He should sue for being misdiagnosed, however wasting your money like that is always retarded.

Even if someone isn't religious, that doesn't mean they have to behave like a hedonist. They could still leave their money for their relatives, like MG already said. Excess is no good.
