I just realized what a cool name that is---Gunpei.

About as much of a throwaway as Captain Falcon or Pikachu.
They're characters with original movesets and extremely different way of fighting.

Yay! Ice Climbers! <3



They're kinda annoying to play against because of the whole teamwork thing, but they're great fun to be. One time I managed to have Popo grab my bro while Nana charged up a smash. Great fun. :D





I can't see Mr. Game&Watch not getting it. He was one of the most unique/interesting/quirky characters in there.



I'd love to see Young Link get cut, unless they give him Wind Waker items or something. (Deku Leaf gliding anyone?)

As someone mentioned about Mr. Game and Watch to Gunpei Yokoi, the Ice Climbers can be to a lesser extent relates to Masahiro Sakurai himself, I heard it was his first game.

I'm wanting WW Link too.

The Ice climbers in Brawl want me to hug them.
I don't know why, it's pretty much the first time i've ever I want to hug a video game character before.

I can't believe some people actually thought they would get cut in the first place. :V

Detail on them is pretty stunning by the way, especially for what I previously thought to be cartoony characters like Kirby or Pokemon Trainer.

I hate the Ice Climbers, IMO, they are a wasted character.
And now they've been dropped in Brawl. Wonderful.

...But the game will still be awesome.

You do remember that to get a 100% Completion you need to play as everyone in basically every mode (Both 64 and Melee). That might be why people complain because they have to play as them. I don't care much, some of there moves and cheap but like every character, they have a weakness.

Yeah, their strengh lies in numbers.

All you need is a little subtraction, know what I'm sayin'?

But yeah, they're in. Either man up and live with it or don't buy the ****ing game. Comprende, amigo?

the problem is:

Even if we don't play as them, we will end up needing to FIGHT them in the random battles in Classic mode(Basically, don't matter if we play or battle them, if they're in the game, it's bad, because they'll show up in a battle sometime.). And also using them in Subspace Emissary.

Pro Tip: JUST CAUSE YOU DON'T PLAY A CHARACTER, DOESN'T MEAN IT SUCKS.


Seriously you guys ***** way too much about the Ice Climbers, if this game is gonna have more characters than Melee it's gonna need every original character it can get, Ice Climbers included, so they'd prolly naught be dropped.

And if you think they suck, try learning them or playin' agianst me

If the Ice Climbers indeed were cheap, it's pretty much guaranteed they will be toned down or made harder to use, don't just base your assumptions on SSBM!

Ignoring the whole "RRR ICE CLIMBERS ARE CHEAP NO THEY ARE TEN FORE GOOD BUDDY" stuff, I'm really glad Brawl is adding so many new options. Customability is incredibly important, and Nintendo's really delivering.

Why? All of SSBB has a darker feel to it and having WW Link, who has his one complete style would screw it up. Unless of course you mean Young Link with some of WW Link's moves.

Don't get me wrong, Brawl gets awesomer every day, I just think the Ice Climbers are a crap character. I was just giving my opinion, not trying to force it down your throat.

And you don't think the cute and plucky Kirby doesn't compare? And Pikachu as well?
