And the Ice Climbers are like Jigglypuff, Yoshi, Mr. Game & Watch, and Mewtwo (and probably others I've forgotten); they suck if you suck but are great if you're good.

No, they fit the style because they made their looks compatible with the style. WW Link thrives on looking 100% cartoony and having uber bright colors, while SSBB has a more serious look and the colors are darker.

No they didn't, Pikachu and Kirby look as happy and kiddy as ever before.

But they blend in with the style. WW Link would stand out too much, by color contrast. And besides, what is so great about WW Link?

This is like the first time I've ever agreed with Dann on anything.

The rest of you who have hernias every update should just save your money because it'd be a waste to buy the game and then you not enjoy it just because x character is in or y stage looks like ass. Not everything's gonna be a gem. Get past that and move on.

Saying "Pikachu has cartoony graphics, therefore WW Link can be playable since he has cartoony graphics" is like saying

Link has realistic graphics, therefore an XBox 360 can be playable since it has realistic graphics!

Seriously WW Link isn't going to be playable and the only reason anyone is even considering him possible is because of that stupid rumor

i'm not saying Ice Climbers SUCK HARD: the only thing i don't like in the is their moveset. Their weak, and Popo is pratically dead without Nana.
Also, why would they put Ice Climber there if we can't think otehrs characters of the game(like DK that got Diddy just now)? Only if someone wants to play as the white polar bear in pink shorts.

If they get better moves(or get stronger), then i might even considerate them, because they've gotten REALLY cute there.

EDIT: Forgot to say: i'm only making this conclusion because i tried playing with them now, they aren't the worst characters ever, they can adapt the Super Smash Bros style very well and stuff, but their moves are a bit weak (even when Nana IS helping! ) .

You obviously don't use them a lot then because their strength is doubled when Nana is helping. The only problem is that she gets separated from you more often than necessary.

More or less taht. I don't know why exactly Ice Climber are weak, but it may be 'cause the strenght is diveded 50% for Popo and 50% for Nana. If they could make Nana follow Popo better than she does in Melee....then it's worthy to put them in Brawl.





EDIT: Ok, people. I thinked ver much about this update...and.....my conclusion is...

36 to 50 points: OK OK I LIKED THEM < 3 (Really!)

I got way too selfish saying that Ice Climber are bad characters, because they were ugly and also weak. Actually, they're bad characters...

...In Melee.

Remember i say "because they were ugly"?


They look freaky japanese eskimos in Melee.
And something in their face makes me angry when they're fighting me(maybe it's because they keep smiling even when you KILL then)



Now, that's REALLY better! Sakurai gave his Kirby touch to them, so they look like they're smiling of "Yay! We got in Brawl, Nana!", not of "ASAFASD YOU SUCK U CAN'T KILL EVEN NANA LOL OWNED".


About the moves, there's now high possibilities that they switch some moves, since Mario got his FLUDD in Down-B and his Tornado went Dair, Ice Climber could get better, more powerful moves by, say, making their Foward-B to Fair and/or making the Belay attack (B-Up) be a tetcher recover (like ZSSamus's Up-B or Ivysaur's Vine Whip) instead of the last jump.

So, i wanna say it ONCE MORE:

I LIKED THE ICE CLIMBER UPDATE NOW, K?

Actually, I mean as a secret character for WW Link. Not to really be taken that serious.

I'm all for WW Link in brawl. I'd play as him every match.

I would.

As soon as I would get bored of Pokemon Trainer.

Then Kirby.

Then Jigglypuff...

I know I'm kinda late but I think I might be on to something.


Ok so you think Mario's gonna pull Fludd out of no where every time you press Down B? Because if you look at all of Mario's other screen shots he doesn't have Fludd on his back. My guess would be that you can unlock a new move for each character and when you pick your character you get to choose if you want the unlocked move. So, if you pick Mario and you choose to have Fludd he'll have Fludd on his back all the time and his Down B will be replaced.

Although that would be cool, I'm doubting it.

Then again, they are adding alot of extra features in this game...

I'm thinking there's every chance someone like G&W could get on the Brawl roster list. Hell, might even be possible to see all of the characters from Melee into Brawl...
