I called this update earlier this week when everyone was moaning about friends lists!

Dk, Link, Samus, Fox, Pika, Diddy, Pit, Meta, Ike, Peach, Yoshi, Sonic and Bowser are not unlockable by the looks of it.

"And there is one more important thing...

When you have a battle mode that runs online like Basic Brawl, the problem of what to do with hidden characters arises. If one of your opponents chooses a character you haven’t unlocked yet, it will be spoiled for you immediately.

But even without this mode, given the proliferation of the Internet these days, the existence of hidden characters is going to get exposed anyway.

So, this time I’m moving in the direction of not being too hung up on hidden characters.

You can earn most characters by playing through Adventure Mode: The Subspace Emissary. For those of you who look forward to those encounters, I recommend you clear this mode before playing Basic Brawl.

And as the case has always been, I’ve made it so you can play the characters you unlock in battles."

Anyways, the CPU-changing part is just plain <3. Now I won't have to worry about retards dropping out after losing because it'll just make winning that much easier!

I love how he says "there aren't any rooms!" (like a lobby or anything) as if it's a feature that it's just random whether you like it or not.

I liked this update though, I like when he gives info about the game (and online stuffs) rather than just a list of moves

The starting roster has the same number of characters as Melee (14/15)

They could just be using the E for All one to keep us from seeing the real thing or something.

If that is the real one however than wtf Kirby's not in it but Meta Knight is?

Good point.

It's likely just the E 4 All screenshot. Remember, Kirby is playable RIGHT FROM THE START of Subspace Emissary, so it would be dumb of Sakurai not to have Kirby on the starting roster.

Plus, Kirby's Smash co-stars Mario, Link, and Pikachu are on the lineup as well, so it's only natural that Kirby should appear as well.

Yeah I'm doubting that's the starting roster.

Pretty good update, IMO. I like that people disconnecting on With Anyone doesn't mean the match automatically cuts out. I also liked the confirmation that most characters will be unlocked through SSE.

Vote on Item Switch being on or off. I like this, though I'll most likely be the only one voting for this.

pretty neat update I must admit <3

Only thng I don't like about this is that I read somewhere that SSE will take only 10-15 hours to beat. So that means that you will get most secret characters just by going with the flow.

I really hope Master Hand is playable, in vs matches only, this time around.

It's nice to hear that disconnectors get replaced by CPU opponents instead of dropping out completely. I hated it when it happened in other Wi-Fi games.
