A couple things I don't like about this update:
  • We don't even see the names of the people we're playing. Sakurai says this is so there will be "no worries" (thanks, we're all 7), but I think it always adds a neat little personal touch when you know the name of the person you just destroyed in battle.
  • I really like that CPUs replace dropped players, though I do wish there were some way to telling when it happens.

About the character select screen. I think that it will be a:

10% chance that there will be some clever way of adding the not seen characters on it.
90% chance that it is not the final character select screen (b/c that it is the demo character select screen)

You're kidding me. Do you honestly believe that they're going to make a 10 hour storyline for 30+ characters? That's 300 hours of gameplay for a game that's not even meant for singleplay.
