Honestly, I'd love to see a Rabbid make it in as an AT. I'm really hoping that the "3 3rd party" thing isn't true, and there will be more.

Where did the "only 3" crap come from, anyways?

On the Smash Bros DOJO mini-site that came before the one you see today, there was a Japanese submit a character type thing, and Sakurai would often reply and comment on character requests. One of the things he stated is that there would only be one or two more third party characters besides Snake. It's possible that he eventually decided otherwise, but too many would start to take away the focus on Nintendo. However, back then, Assist Trophies were also not revealed outside of the Nintendog, which was thought to be an item. While it's very probable that third party Assist Trophies will only be for the third party playable franchises that are covered in Brawl, it's not out of question that others might appear, depending on how close they are to Nintendo... A third party minor role appeared in SSBM in the form of the Heririn trophy, and isn't Saki owned by Treasure, simply appearing in a Nintendo exclusive game?

Apart from the names, this doesn't seem to deviate a whole lot from Rotation in Melee.

Adding things like this better not be the reason for the game's delay that's all I gotta say.

It's probably things like the stage builder, video recording, the Spectator video stream or even general wifi with friends tweaks that caused the delay, assuming it isn't something else we haven't seen. This update is not the cause, just filler.
