how to use masks for 2.5D, need help with using masks

What do you mean by 2.5D exactly?

Regular Group: Banned Posts: 331 Member No.: 3759 Joined: 12-May 07 Status: (71582598m)	like the ground is 3-d and the sprites are 2-d so like when you start off on the 3-d ground as paper mario you can press "up" and your character will move like behind instead of backwards heres screens of what i mean 2.5d mario if you notice that the 1 goomba is more close to the screen then the other 1 thats what i want so if you press "up" you move farther back and if you press "down" you move closer up
