hi if you have ever played paper mario i need a turn based battle system like it where you can choose from a hammer and stuff i have already seen the one by frogjester and i dont like it could someone help me?

No one is just going to make an engine for you. Didn't this come up before? If someone made one they probably wouldn't release it publicly, at least for a while.

And tough luck if you do not like an engine for something. Either you use the available resources or try to make something yourself, I don't think anyone is going to do it for you.

And now that i think about it...didn't you post a topic about this before?

A whole turn based battle system engine is not usually simple

Engines usually aren't things that people can make in a few minutes.

Try making your own or try and use the one "you don't like". I'm not saying it's impossible that someone will make one, but i'm just telling you, nothing is gonna come up in the next 5 minutes, and it's not going to be made just at your request. It may not even be released publicly

(I'm not sure i worded that how I wanted....)

That type of thing is really hard to program. Also people will not just give you an engine they worked so hard on so you could make a cruddy game. It's like I'm saying it will be cruddy, but most of the time stuff like this becomes cruddy. NO offence though.

ok heres more detail you click a hammer mario runs up whacks goomba with hammer and does -5 damage (note the goombas health is not visible) then number 5 appears above goombas head then vanishes then mario goes back to his normal position. then the goomba runs at mario and hits him and does -5 and 5 appears above marios head and the goomba runs back to his starting position. when its the enemys turn "lock" mario in other words if you click the hamemer on the enemys turn it does nothing

... its not very hard to do.
First you have the "battle" loop, then "Mario" and "Enemy" loops inside that loop.
Using variables and "if" statements should make creation of such an engine relatively painless.

Then there's when you attack the enemies out of battle and get an advantage...
