Massive Halo 3 info/leak from Gamepro, Including new multiplayer armor designs!

(don't worry, that's an optional change!)

Someone got their hands on the newest issue of Gamepro early. To sum up the information...

Weapons:

• Pistol has no scope, but is more powerful
• Energy sword has longer switch time and limited ammo

Vehicles:

• Wraiths now have a turret for a second person
• Brutes get a special kind of Ghost - the "Chopper"

Maps:

• Shrine: Places an emphasis on vehicular combat. Hugely large.
• Epitaph: Basically a new version of Midship.
• Last Resort: Remake of Zanzibar.

Other:

• The Radar Jammer deployable disables the radar and messes up HUDs
• Multiplayer models are customizable. One such model is a SPARTAN-III (see pic).

Holy crap, that guy is going to get his head ripped off for this.

Even though I'm not a huge Halo fan I'm glad I saw this.

I don't like the head on that thing but this is awesome news anyway!

And I love the way shrine sounds.

Spartan 3 looks cool.

That armor looks kinda like those guys from Haze.

I see the Spartan-II and Spartan-III helmets, but what's the third helmet?

Yep.

Jesus Christ. Now all we need is the Mjolner MkV. By the way I've used the pistol and sword before in the beta during a glitched game. Pistol fires super slow, but takes like 5 shots to kill. The sword seems pretty sucky now. Less lung, energy units, but because it was not officially done the power on it did not go down when used. There are so many customizable options. 300% speed and 50% gravity <3


I expect that last spartan to be in Halo 3 somwhere. I'm rather found of the SIII though. Even if it was a pansy suit in the book.

So there's going to be three suits to choose from?
The regular, the one in your post and the one with the dome head?

If not, then I'm confused.

The costume changes are freaking bad ass.

I think the original armor/helmet is the nicest looking.

I will still be happiest with the Halo 1 suit and Elites. Brutes being in would be cool too.
