Although I did not win the last drawing competition, I was requested by Tragedy Anne to take over the job of competition header. Okey, here's whats up with the main theme of this competition: All you have to do is draw Mario or a Mario Character in a different animation style. Like, what if the character design of Mario, Peach or Toad was illustrated by Don Bluth, Walt Disney or Pablo Picasso? Of course, you don't have to go deep into the subject, all that you have to do is emulate a existing style and draw Mario with that emulation in mind. The Guidelines?
Try to emulate only ONE existing animation style into a Mario Character's design and state what style it is along with your entry. Remember, It doesn't have to be Mario, it can be ANY character from the Mario franchise. Here is a really good example made by the awesome duckboy:

As you can see, Duckboy's character "Ant Andy" was drawn in a variety of styles, from South Park to the Fairly Oddparents. In relation to the theme of this competition, you can decide upon which style is best for you and emulate it. Of course, the variety of entries isn't restricted to these animation styles, any existing animation style will do. That also means that you CANNOT use your own animation style, whether you want to or not. This is meant to be a challenge.
EDIT: I changed the competition guidelines. Now you can draw any Mario character in an existing animation style.
Good luck and have fun! This post has been edited by Bobafett X on Jun 5 2007, 07:08 PM
