Also making something like this into a game wouldn't be incredibly hard, but storing everything externally would be useful. You would just make it repeat the animation of Mario strumming his guitar(but cut out the bit when Bowsers painting falls down and make it into a seperate video and make that show when you get a certain amount of points etc.) and have all the rythm stuff on top.
