Catalyst Group: Members Posts: 18290 Member No.: 52 Joined: 13-October 03 Status: (0d)	I've updated the custom filters to give you a bit more control over how they work. First, as requested by Xgoff, there is a checkbox below the post box that allows you to enable or disable custom filter support on a post-by-post basis. This will prevent your filters from raping your own posts should that be to your advantage. Second, there's been a new addition to the word filter part of your UCP. Every filter now has a reader / writer state associated with it. You can set a filter to read, write, or read/write. Any filter that has read associated with it will convert words in other people's posts, but will not replace the words in the posts you type (other members won't see the replacement). Any filter that has write associated with it will only be used as a replacement in your posts. You and other members will see the replacement (like a smily), but when other members post the word, your filter won't be used. Read/Write is how all filters act currently - they do both. Special note about the read state - you'll see the replacements in your own post after you post, but other members will not. I trust you'll be able to clear up a lot of the confusion by setting your silly filters to read and your tag/smily replacements to write. --------------------
