What the hell was that?

That wasn't a kirby engine. That was a bad platform engine. I was very confused as to the jumping sprites, and collision didn't really make any sense.

i started off jump. this is my first 100% custom engine, so now do you see why(i need) a kirby engine so bad?

You just said it was your first, so unless you have another engine to compare your effort to, there's no proof.

Maybe go give kirby a mask to improve the collision, add some friction, and make the jumping just plain old jumping and add the flying to a seperate key.

1)5.58 MB download, just because of the music WHICH YOU DONT NEED IN AN ENGINE ANYWAY

1. Why can you jump in the air?
2. Seems like you edited the platform example.
3. Take out music. You don't need it in an engine. It's just a waste of space.
4. Like UM said, this feels NOTHING like kirby, partly because there's no kirby trademarks or elements. Another reason is the movement.

Oh, and if you jump in the air, he should start floating.

The wall kick could use a lot of improvement, and the kirby "jump" needs sprite fixing.

The ground pound was not too bad though.

For the love of fangamers, make player able to control Kirby after he has jumped!

Touching an enemy while standing still, doesn't make Kirby fall. Therefor, you have to reset.

uh, i still have to program that. you have to wait like 5 seconds until he falls. he can move after he jumps...
