Ok, so I'm trying to make a sprite in MLSS2 style. so far, I have this:

So I tried to shade it, but it didn't come out looking much better:

Study the ML2 sprites, and see how they are shading. Also use official colours

Yes, but Fracktail's sides are flat, making shading difficult.

That looks NOTHING like ML2 style at all.

Needs more AA, better colors, and slight gradient shading.

what does "More AA" mean?

Pluss, how can I shade something that looks flat from the side?
