I just have this game in production that uses the Ultramario engine......just kidding! I'm using Hello's SMB engine to make it.

Basically this game tests your platforming skills and uses obstacles as a way to use your brain. I don't plan it to be Super Mario Pandemonium hard, just difficult enough to have the player use his head to clear the obstacles.

I plan to have at least several challenges (levels) in this game. The first one,and the only one I have right now is the firebar challenge. This challenge using the firebars seen in Bowser's Castle (In the original SMB) and uses them in a cunning way to challenge the player to use his brain. I have a .EXE of this challenge attached to this post. Tell me what you think of it,is it too hard, or too easy right now. DON'T bash me if it stinks,it's my first fangame I'm making here.


EDIT: BTW, the challenge is done when you reach the flag.

Firebars don't fit in regular grass levels.

Use them in castles.

You used the Hello SMB1 engine right? The music is too high pitched and it has the behaviour of Hello's engine.

It is a pretty good challenge, I can hardly tell this is a Hello engine.

There are too many firebars, which makes the level quite difficult. And yes, firebars aren't nessessarily appropriate.

Also, Mario's gravity level is a bit to high.
