How do people do 3D that looks good? When I do it I get it right, but it looks weird. I really wish I knew why.

On Topic: I know it's from Super Paper Mario, but this has a great premise, and could be a great puzzler if it has good level design.

Looks spectacular so far, Just don't skip out on the battle system either biggrin.gif (which is pretty much the jumping on stuff I guess)

This seems to be a really awesome quality fangame,
Just for the love of god don't release it open source, because then there'd be millions of games without much change and yeah.
Keep this under wraps and you'll have instant winning games right round every time.

- can i ask how you did the transition from 2d to 3d?
was it done in 2d and then you enabled d3d mode?
because when i tried that it turned the camera upside down and reversed the controls.

or did you do it that the models are flat sprites and when 3d button is pressed the camera shifts and the flat models render 3d models?

I think he's going to continue this after the comp (hence how I did with Yoshiland).

I have d3d mode turned on all the time, but in 2d mode I use an orthographic projection...

@Ultramario, actually, when the compo's done, I have another project I put on hold that I need to get back to.

Whoa... that looks cool! Just work on the backrounds a bit in 3d mode. You should make this into a regular game (after minigame comp.).
