It seem's as if thier completly dropping all games aside from the first 3 Contra's and then starting with Contra 4, which is all fine. Just watch the video located in the link above.

It seems that they are paying homage to the original American localization. And it's nice to see what happened to Bill and Lance between the Alien Wars and the events that led to their status at the beginning of Shattered Soldier.

Yes! To me, this is basically Contra 4. They should ignore everything after this (although Shattered Soldier was ok IMO.)
