The first video games were nothing but fun, since the developers didn't actually have any idea to go for except for the main category, fun. Running across the mushroom kingdom was fun. Shooting ducks was fun. Killind Dracula was fun.

Then some damn idiot figured that maybe we can attract older people to gaming if we make the games in the future more EDGY and EXTREEEEEEM.

Perfect example would be Shadow the Hedgehog. Guns != Awesome.

The reason I like the game is mainly because of the Sonic-ish elements and characters. The guns don't really add to the appeal for me.
