Back in the day, I would go on websites like nick.com or cartoonnetwork.com. I really had little interest in the internet, or my computer at that fact. I would only use the paint tool and solitare.

A few years later (around my early teens), I stumbled upon a webcomic. I was hooked. I'd start reading webcomics left and right. I believe the first one I read was fireball20xl.com's "That's My Sonic". Around this time, I found DevArt and made a profile that I rarely updated. I got rid of that, then made a new one a year later.

About a year or two after I read webcomics, I've travels to other ones by means of links provided by the websites. Eventually, I found the spriters-resource, then made comics of my own using a tutorial made by PsyGuy (I think). I remember that one day, my neighbor told me about this thing he saw on Attack of the Show called "Game Maker". I downloaded it and went to town using the resources found on the internet.

Then using a link provided at the spriter's resource, I found MFGG and stayed there for a while in '05. In August of '06, I joined the message board. Now a days, I spend most of my time at MFGG, DeviantArt, or other assorted forums.

I was born in CA but moved to AZ when I was 4 or 5 (this comes into the story later on). I "found" the internet when I was around nine or ten, and I kept making crappy Angelfire Mario fansites until I met Zane when I was 12. He and I kept up consistintly with a site called "MZ Komix" until I was 14 and moved to back to CA. I then talked to Xander for the first time on AIM and he introduced me to MFGG. Because of either MFGG or talking to an MFGGer over AIM, I can't remember which, I learned to meaning of the word "hentai" for the first time (although I had witnessed it beforehand while spending the night at Zane's). Later, Zane started long-distance-relationshiping Quickie-la (my little sister, who's MFGG name was Inuyashrocks at the time). My friendship with him and MZ Komix slowly started to break apart, especially when he dumped my sister and started dating the love of my life. This sent me into a spiraling state of depression that led me to living in the group home where I am living to this day!

A long time ago in a far away country named Canada I came upon the internet in 1999 back then the only sites I ever visited consisted of Pokemon.com and cartoon network.

I never owned a computer until 2004 where I came upon a certain Pokemon site called serebii.net
Serebii.net was my first of many sites I visit daily as it had news on Pokemon which I was a fan about.
I later joined that as my very first forum under the name uh.. Deoxy 2.0

After about a month on that forum I got banned and had to move on then. I then came upon another forum where I stayed as for a long time, the Nintendo forums.
I stayed at the Nintendo forums until my rank got to a Tingle, during my stay there I came upon 2 comics I enjoyed reading, Nengelcted Mario characters, and Vgcats.

After my Tingle rank I came upon a incredible sprite site The spriters resource. After 2 weeks of seeing updates on the site I joined the forums during it's Shine sprites ages under a name, Power_plus.
Quite ghoulish times as I would steal sprite sheets from other sites and claimed them as my own, twas wasn't very bright back then.

After it went down I stayed there for 7 months. When Mecha left Pixeltendo and went to MFGG I came following him.
For 2 years i've stayed at MFGG and Pixeltendo and alot of other sites I go to daily as of now.
Serebii, Smashboards, Boomansion and Smashbros.com

in 2008 MFGG was shut down by illegal reasons and I was forced to stay at Pixeltendo for until the day I die.

Meh, I was a little dumbass at VGF back in the day. At 12 or 13 my internet privileges were removed for about two weeks because I was instant messaging someone from VGF who I did not know in real life (!). This instilled in me for a short time a hearty fear of all strangers from the internet, which I later discovered was a good thing, as I narrowly avoided problems with an intelligent internet bully and manipulator. I found this out later, completely by accident, from an MFGGer.

I knew of the MFGG main site while I was at VGF, and I later found the message board and joined in the fall of 2004.

I started out on GameFaqs (at 11 underage user olo) as gamefreek02 (11-year-old-made names olo) and was overreactively amazed at the fact that you can communicate over the internet. Yeah I was raised under a rock. So it went from there to Samus.co.uk, to MP2D (was introduced to fangames), and then the obligatory "small unpopular first forum ever where you make your first internet friends" (People like flyinrooster, MP2:E, NiCk, and Eli). It was a Metroid fangame project forum called "Metroid: Phazon's Brother." I joined as dark metroid (yes lower case. more 11-year-old goodness). I tried to help out with spriting (my first time spriting. It was horrible) This is when I created a Metroid forum for the first time on Invision free. It was called BSL Comm Link. It had a sort of okay but not really skin and only the people from M:PB joined there. Then I deleted it a few months later. Then I ended up at Metroid Galaxy through it's sprite comic. Later I joined up at it's forum as hunter metroid (I promise the last metroid username). Also, that community is horrible. I went from there to Project Jenova through Planet Zebeth (that one went downhill), where I had a 12-comic long guest comic which was awful and horrible. Later, I ended up at Metroid: Fan Mission, where I joined once again as dark metroid. This is when I started visiting MFGG's main site, but didn't join the forums. Some months afterward, I ended up dissapearing from the internet for a long while. I returned later, only visiting M:FM. Later I joined another Metroid forum, it was a Metroid fanfiction forum, called Metroid: Prisoner. A member there had a forum called "I Like Pie" which I also joined. Yes, the entire thing was about pie. THIS. is when I joined at MFGG, as "Phsycozoid". Yes, I spelled it wrong, not on purpose. A few months later, I like Pie was restarted on another forum hoster, and at the same time I joined a Zelda fan forum, which I don't even remember the name of. These two forums, I like Pie 2 and Unknown Zelda Fan Forum were when I first joined as Dark Chazo. Not related to the word Chozo, I mean it. After a while I got my name changed on M:FM and MFGG. I stopped going to I like Pie, Metroid Prisoner, blah blah blah, everything except for M:FM and MFGG. It continued like this for a while. Then, I joined at Bowserman's forum "The Nintendo fortress" as Dark Chazo. I enjoyed my time there, and that is where I came up with the name Tek-Tek. I changed my name there, and got a name change at M:FM, but not on MFGG. Then I joined Kannagi Stadium Forums as Tek-Tek. I then took another Internet break. I returned to M:FM and MFGG, but I found that The Nintendo Fortress had been deleted. I searched for Bowserman on M:FM and found a new site link in his sig, to a site called Super Smash Fortress. So I joined up there and stuff was good. I got my name change on MFGG to Tek-Tek. Then SSF got shut down by Bman for inactivity. Later, it was resurected on a new host, but a while afterward he shut it down for good.

So here I am now. I probably missed a lot, or got something wrong, but oh well. That's all of it. *wonders if anyone actually read all of this*

EDIT: Damn, this is the longest post I've ever made in my internet life. What a historical moment. Some things I left out: the first internet "break" was when I lost internet privilages. This is probably due to ROM sites that linked you to pornographic top-100 sites before you could download and the roms were virus infested.

I'm adding this to the Wiki after I'm done, at least the MFGG parts.

In 1996, the internet was slowly becoming a household name. My parents jumped on the bandwagon by purchasing a top of the line, Intel 166 MHz Packard Bell brand Computer/Monitor combo for the low price of $2000 U.S dollars. We already had an Intel Pentium 75 MHz Packard Bell PC, but at the time it did not have a modem.

The internet started out with my parents buying an Internet package from a local provider. $10.00 a month, a pretty good price considering how dirt slow the internet was back then. The package came with the Netscape Navigator Internet browser. Since this was Dial up the internet was a chore to "Navigate".

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars was a very important part of the internet for me. I was hyped by all of the Screenshots, the Television ads, and the general concept of the game. The Internet really helped me into thinking that this was the best game ever.

It's kind of Fuzzy, but I must of finally gotten SMRPG in 1997 due to a trip to London and the fact that I saw Lylat Wars in a London game store, because I went on a family trip london thinking to myself that I could find the game there(which I couldn't because it was never released there). Anyways, when I eventually got it, my parents bought it for the price of 59.95 (sound familiar?) I went to town on the internet looking up strategies and tips and secrets. I had friends at school that would "play" Super Mario RPG with the Lego's during playtime. I was so infatuated with this game, and the internet hype lived up to what I still feel is the best game ever created.

During the time of the Nintendo 64, www.nintendo.com had the C-button design with stuff on them. I want to say I got my Nintendo 64 when Mario 64 and Pilotwings were the only titles. I know I found it at a time when Nintendo 64's were like what Wii's are today. One game I was looking foward to was Star Fox 64. Star Fox 64 was all over Nintendo Power touting the Rumble Pack.

Now to my first piece of my User generated content on a website. It was 1998 and I was playing Banjo-Kazooie. I noticed that I found something in the game that was not listed on the website I visited for my tips and walkthroughs. It has since made it's way all over the internet, and I have found exactly what I have posted.

(http://www.world-of-nintendo.com/ was the website I originally submitted the info to)

Golden Banjo statue

Behind the entrance to click clock woods There is a SHOCK SPRING jump,
use it to jump up on Click clock woods tree. You'll find a golden Banjo
statue on it.

This was the first time I felt I've accomplished anything on the internet, but I was only a mere 9 years old.

I was searching yahoo.com for nintendo games when I first discovered the magical world of roms. I downloaded mainly SNES roms as Dial-up took a long time to download what was then a massive 1-3 MB file. When the Japanese version of Pokemon Gold came out, many sites claimed that they had "the" download you wanted. None of the emulators at that time would run the Gold version, and I waited until a decent one came out. I don't think I played it that much, because the English version came out soon after and I bought it. I was so hyped because I thought you could breen ANY Pokemon with ANY other pokemon. (I wanted to fuse a Tentacruel and a Primeape)

Then comes when I first discovered MFGG. I first found MFGG when searching for Mario Roms, which took me to "Emulationzone" I clicked on the MFGG link and downloaded a few early games, must of been in early 2002. I remember the games not being real mario games and went back to the emulation part of the site (which didn't have anything emulation related at all).

I was curious though after I downloaded a game called "Mario Quest" This was the first fangame I played to completion. I wrote down the passwords and it took me 3 days to beat it. This was back when Fangames were not based on quality, but I'd be damned if I can find a better "Full" fangame in today's age. I then Downloaded Mario Quest 2 and was blown away by how much better of a game it was than the first one.

This prompted me to download The Games Factory demo from the Click Team website. I wanted to make a game just as awesome as Mario quest in my eyes. Mario Quest had an un-protected .cca file, so I just took a look at how the game worked. I started constructing "Mario Betrays Lugi: The Sprite Comic" using TGF as a kind of Flash. I wanted to make a game out of it, so I basically just copied the engine of Mario Quest and based it on Luigi. I even used sprites from MQ2 because I wanted a Luigi sprite.

I then joined the forums on January 19th, 2003 back when we were still using the ezbreads. I think the first post I made was "When is Mario Quest 3 going to be out"? in the General Chat forum, or the Pointless Post Palace.

I got interested Moo Moo Kung Foo Babaloo Koo Koo Ka Choo series, and introduced myself as a villian in the 2nd series.

(an archive is found here of the series, but some of the sites are still missing. http://web.archive.org/web/20031214040534/...Fan-fiction.htm
but is incomplete due to the people that bought the www.weirdestchild.com name after it had expired, I will work on finding the .txt files on my old Computer)

Around this time I was listening to T.O.A.D (Totally Online Addicted Dudes) by Chris The Hedgehog and Yoshiman. I decided that I could do a better job at speaking in general so I decided to record my first episode of P.I.E.S. It was around this time that my mother had purchased the domain www.weirdestchild.com and a hosting service to host it for me. I decided to put P.I.E.S on this site.

For P.I.E.S Episode 4 I wrote a script that I bring out of retirement every now and again to welcome new members. I still have the .txt file on my PC and here it is in it's entirety. (I didn't like to use the Enter Key back then, and since I wrote it in note pad I didn't bother to spell check)

QUOTE (Weirdestchild 5/18/03)
Hi, this is Weirdestchild bringing all of you n00bs, the tour of MFGG HQ. First of all, step in this go-cart type thingy,
that we are going to be using during the tour tour. Okay now look to your left and you will see a cave that is on fire. We of
MFGG have not been able to put this fire out, so we dub this "THE CAVE OF FLAMES!" It is where all of the most vile of all
posts posted on this corperations Message Board lies. Now look to your right, and you will see the 4 golden statues of our
Corpertion's founders, Thunder Dragon, SuperToad2k, and Kritter. Without these people, MFGG would not exist.
We cannot stress this enough, DO NOT TOUCH THE STATUES! Now moving on, on your left, you will see a Quinteple bolted, golden,
Octople reinforced platinum steel door. We call this "THE VAULT" It is where we keep the most important documents, and all of
the previous sprite Competition entries. No one can get in unless they are given special permission by Thunder Dragon
himself. Now onward we go into the main lobby, where all of the news&annoucements are. As you can see, this place is empty,
as no one has any news about the message board. Okay, now we go onward to the most Gigantic room in the entire building.
First we have to go up this elevator, next to the shrubbery. Shadowman is the caretaker of these plants, and they are alive
only on tuesdays. Careful, for when they are alive, they tend to eat meat, so dont get so close on Tuesdays. Now lets enter
the elevator. *ding* On the second floor, we dedicate it entirely ti the Pointless Post Palace. Here, is were the people of
MFGG post the most SPAM and Pointless POSTS of them all. Here is the Moo Moo Kung Foo Babaloo KOO KOO KA CHOO archive. This,
which is part of the PPP, is a Add-on story featuring, yours truly, Weirdestchild, Fan-Guy. Hippoman, Outbreak, Binky, PK,
Shaw, Chibi Ninja, and other MFGG Members. Lots of work has gone into t he creation of MMKFBKKKC, and even more work in the
creation of the sequel. And here, we have the "Pointless Game Topic" where most of our n00bs and some of our most
experienced members post some of their worst and first game projects, or just something that is really dumb, and has no
basic plot. Okay, and over here is were everrybody posts Sig-Tests, and Image uploading, and Post the most Pointless stuff
you can ever think of. Oh, Heres a letter from some of the Pointless Posts "I LIKE PIE" wow, that is pointless. Okay, on to
the next floor. *ding* here on the next floor, is were all of the employies cubicles. Over here is my office, Time to eat
Ramen. As you can see, my office has an oven with a stove, and a microwave, and thousands upon thousands of spoons and forks.
My office/cubicle looks a lot like Fan-guy's, but I garuntee that I have more food in my office. Now on to the brown colored
cubicle, were Turdlantic is hard at work on Mario Party PC. It'll be a couple more months until he's finished with it though.
*splat* EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW............ I just steped in some crap. Oops, thats Turdlantic, just need to wipe my shoe off
and put the napkin in the Turdlantic Regenerator.... And Presto! Turdlantic is revitalized. Now on to Fanguy's Cubicle. Woah
this looks alot like my Cubice, execept that instead of pictures of me, there are pictueres of a bowl of soup, As, you can
see, Fanguy is hard at work creating His long-awaited seqeul to Mario's Mansion1&2. Mario's Mansion 3. Alot of work goes
into making a game, which is why we are going up another floor, to the Bosses Offices. *ding* Here, is were the top game
makers reside. First we will go to office of the C.E.O of Thunder Dragon. Now before we go in here I have to warn you, any
of you n00bs acting like an idiot, will be banned permentily from MFGG, and never allowed to come back. Okay in we go.
As you can see, there is a lot of Wind Waker Posters here, As THunder Dragon is a big Zelda Fan. And there is his Gamecube.
HEY! X-box Dude! Get away from there, If you were to destroy his Gamecube, Thunder Dragon will seek-out and destroy the
person who destroys it. Well over here in TD's Office we can see his former Fan-Game Projects, Mario Quest, Mario Quest2,
and many others. And now we go up another floor to the General Chat Room. It is were all of the Members Chat, and socialize
and post news about their latest game projects and is the place were the SPite Compititions are held. And up on the next floor
is reserved space for the new offices of games.demos, and evrything to with the general Web-Site. Coming soon. And this
concludes the Tour of MFGG HQ

I have since improved a lot in spelling and grammar, even more so since the release of Firefox 2.0 which has a built in spell-checker.

I have since gone on to make 16 episodes of P.I.E.S(I think) and I'm currently thinking of reviving the series because of YTMND and it's ability to host sound files.

During my tenure here I have only had 2 accepted sound libraries (the 2nd which was an update to the first) and a few reviews for some of the most awesome games on the website.

In March of 2003 I bought FFXI, I installed it on my Laptop and it wouldn't work, so I decided to go to an Internet cafe to play it. I had to cancel my subscription since I couldn't play it as often as I wanted too. I resubscribed later that year once I got DSL and installed the game on my other computer. I was so glad to find that the game was working on this one, and I was still at the last place I logged out in with the gear that I remembered having.

FFXI history wouldn't make sense to most of you but my Current stats are 75MNK/75RNG/50WAR/37NIN/28PLD and all other jobs being below 20. Getting my Ranger to 75 was a 3 year long process, while getting my Monk to 75 took me less time since It was the job I first leveled to unlock the Ranger job.

I occasionally log on to steam to play a quick game of Half-Life2 Deathmatch.

And that's about it, either that or I'm just tired of trying to think of stuff.

When I was 12 I spent my time looking for various Nintendo 64 cheats, and downloading heaps of ROMs; I was quite proud of my collection. Back then I played games a whole lot more than I spent time online. I took an interest in fangames when I was 14, and stumbled upon MFGG.

The only clear thing that sticks out is probably looking things up about games and registering at GameFAQs as Toad314 (10/12/2002 5:20:58 PM) when I was about 10. I was REALLY stupid at the time though; I remember going to one of the boards, someone had posted a link that redirects to a certain...image of a person and a tub and I remember sitting there for about 30 minutes staring at the screen trying to figure out what all that "stuff" is.

"What's that weird liquidy stuff?"

*Stares closer at the screen*

"Is that soup??"

After registering I basically just went around boards posting before I went to the Pokemon Social Board (PSB), started to hang around there and became less stupid. O_o;

Then I eventually started playing Sonic Robo Blast 2, long story after that. Got a link here and then pretty much everything up until right now.

I do remember going to Nick.com, Cartoonnetwork.com, registering at Smashboards.com (Before the revamp) and things like that though. I don't really remember.

My internet history started out as most 10 or 11 year olds start, at a cartoon website. I was a frequent poster on nick.com, Mostly stupid fanfics involing Cosmo in cooking classes @_@. That went on for about half a year, One day I stumbled upon Serebii.net, and joined the forums 2 months later. I read a comic called "The Wisest Pikachu" and was inspired to make a comic, My first, and crappiest, Ralts/Hoppip mixture comic. Took me about a year to start drawing sprites, By then I created "Shpam man" and was big on SPPf forums. I later joined a team of artists "N-Parody" and left SPPf, And were in the works of a website.

Neopolis, One of my teammates shown me MFGG, And I'm hooked.

Eh I surfed around sprite comics (mostly fireball20xl stuff) up until I found this forum with Zash. FlashStand :X when I first joined I got banned after my first 3 posts for tripple posting a topic (it was a slow forun D: ) so I made a dupe account using the name of a character I randomly made and thus MechaChao was born. After a while of making sigs and building relations at flashstand I actually joined Gaia for a while with my little brother. After a few months realized it was not for me, and went back to reading sprite comics and cruisin the web. then I found Pixeltendo and got hooked on forums agian, it was a nice place but I began to grow sore of it when they got to pt13 (since they suck at holding servers.) and I had a talk with an admin friend of mine about how their newest mod was just an old friend who showed little promise in being a productive mod, and his response really threw me off of pt, he told me that to the mods and admins, anyone who hasn't been at pt for more than like.. 6 years, is a newb, including me in my third year of membership... Then I found MFGG and realized this place'd prolly be a good change of pace. I made a topic in PT about me leaving for several reasons (most of them negative towards the staff yes, but all still were true) and the youngest admin Rogultgot locked and threw away my topic simply saying "I just don't care." From then on I was pro mfgg, but I've had alot of people try to coax me into coming back.. but I just don't juggle forums well...
and so... here I am.

It was on 2001 when i first encountered the internet, the first thing i did was making a little homepage ( still exsists ) about dragon ball z. After a year i encountered the online computer game runescape, which was just started i think, anyway i played that game for around 3 years. After that i encountered gamemaker ( 2005 ) which i started to use ( with basic sprites ). However in late 2006 i decided to make a mario fangame about surfing, all i need was some sprites. The first site i encountered was TSR, but i didn't find everything i needed so i looked at affiliates and the first thing i clicked on was MFGG ( july 2006 ) .I just found the perfect site to post my game and search for the sprites. In november i found out about the mfgg forum, i emidiatly subscribed <- (i don't know how to spell that right ) and recieved permission to post on december. And here i am, surviving 8 months already on a place called mfgg.

TMK > KRR > PT > VGDC > MFGG.

That pretty much sums it up.

At 1999 (or so) we got 'new' computer (it cost 12000 in the old currency of Finland, which is approximately 2000 euros) and net to it. The connection was slow modem and could be used only after 5 PM. Back then I (ironically) used to visit pokemon.com and certain fan-made Worms sites (to look up some extra content). At 2003 - 2004 I found Marioportal and tried out fangames for the first time. Most of the fangames were made with Game Maker, which got me involved into game making. At first I couldn't understand GM and even deleted and reinstalled later a few times. Then I tried out tutorials and learned using GM on my own.

After I quit in my previous school, my friend called me and played some Mario & Luigi sound clips on the background. He told that he got them from mfgg.net.

...and the rest predictable.

When I was... 8? 9? I lurked on a Pokemon Community.

But, I found a link in a signature to a Kirby Sprite Comic.

This led to a Kirby Comic. I read it, liked it, thought it was funny, and found a link to another on the page.

That one was longer by a longshot. It was a Zelda comic, and I liked that one too.

Meanwhile, I was also visiting a website called Koopa Village. I don't remember how I found it. Anyway, from there I found some more forums, which gave me a better sense of humor.

Now, again, at the Zelda Comic, I found a link to Psyguy's stuff and his giant sprite archive. Cool! I could start making Sprite Comics!

And so I did. over a 100 of them, to be exact. On my mother's computer.

I posted them on a Freewebs account and showed them to my forum friends.

I somehow got ahold of The Spriter's Resource a couple years later and attended Pixeltendo. After awhile, Someone posted a link to...

I remember about this one guy I met at camp a few years ago, who knew how to mix pokemon sprites. I also remembered that he made flash movies and sprited Megaman stuff. He kinda got me started on spriting. I remember he used to submit to TSR, and his name was Evilagram.
I started to try Mario spriting, but didn't work too well. I was looking for some Mario sprites, and ended up in MFGG!

5th grade. I discovered Newgrounds. I also discovered porn then, when I clicked the wrong link sad.gif

Then in the 8th grade, one of my friends showed me a chat site called Cybercon.
I stayed there for awhile until the 9th grade, when I got bored. I left behind a girlfriend on there sad.gif
But she didn't really come there very often anyways...

But after leaving Cybercon, I had just joined Gamefaqs.

Then a year later, I came here, thanks to someone from Gamefaqs.

I have made it 3 months without a ban here, and I have recently became a Elite on Gamefaqs (Elite as in board level)
