Super Mario RPG DS

Sorry if I fooled you into thinking they had done it; mainly a discussion of opinions on the idea. So many people (Paper Mario and M&L lovers) are missing out on the greatness that SMRPG was and how they often have been fixing that problem is bringing these great hits to the Virtual Console, GBA, or DS. Rayman DS was my favorite to see, along with SMW Advance. SMRPG would be a great addition.

There are SNES emulators for DS, and it's coming for the VC eventually anyway.

Last I checked, the SNES emulators on DS weren't good for much at all.

Has this changed while I wasn't looking?

Not really. Some games hardly work/have no sound/are laggy etc

Mario RPG on the go would be awesome. I mean they did that for the Final Fantasy games...

Well either way it's not perfect. But on the other hand I guess you don't need that for RPG's.

The point that you apparently missed was that SNES emulators assumedly do not run well on a DS

There already is a Super Mario RPG for the DS.

Its called Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time.


Anyways, I would like a Super Mario RPG DS, with these features:

-3-D graphics, not the prerendered ones.
-Some extras like more minigames and increased game length
-Characters having at least 1 Special attack that uses a DS feature (Like for Mallow, you blow into the microphone to summon a hurricane)

This doesn't make sense.

It sounds like you're saying Mario and Luigi 2 is the equivalent in awesome to Super Mario RPG. And it isn't. At all.

IMO, SMRPG is the best Mario RPG. Paper Mario 2 comes to a close second, but the rest is jst urgrgrhghgh.

What I meant was that there was already a Super Mario RPG, as in a Mario RPG game, and not the SNES game by Square.

SMRPG feels more like an RPG than the others so whatever. It's my favorite but others have rights to an opinion so yeah.
Plus everytime I've played it on an emulator the sound is way off.
Then I got it back after lending it to my friend for years, and beat it again few months ago.

Not by a long shot.

It's over rated anyways. And since nintendo seem to ignore any requests for Geno or any of the other crappy cast in newer games it seems like the only thing you're getting is the VC release.

To prove my point, did you see any smrpg trophies in melee?
