An Alabama newspaper quoted Zadnichek as saying, "I'm not responsible for their feelings. I'm responsible for the well-being of everybody in the park. If their feelings got hurt, I'm sorry. That's the way it's got to be."

I hope whoever told the family they were unwelcome because of some crappy lie gets smacked across the face and thrown into an oven. And possibly into a paper shredder. I swim in pools all the time and I've never gotten it.

I don't think just touching someone who has it causes you to get it. (See Draco's post above.)

Also, it's quite possible that you've never been to a pool that people with AIDS have swum in. It's not like people with AIDS are incredibly common in developed nations.

Both you and the toddler would have to have open wounds for the disease to get transmitted.

And chlorine doesn't kill it like most other microbes?
