Sorry, had to rush out just after killing the switch. Even after putting the site into offline mode, the server still wasn't sustaining itself - I had to shut mfgg.net off at a higher level, and that seems to have cured the problem for now. Unless we landed a mention on Slashdot (and I know we did not), I think there was some sort of deliberate attack. My host found nothing unusual on their end and they think I just need to upgrade my account, but I know traffic patterns don't go haywire without cause, and MFGG has always run below capacity under normal conditions.
I may be bringing the site in and out periodically while I try to figure everything out. For now, fortunately, the board and the rest of my server is stable.
