I thought she was cute. If anything, Luna is possibly the most observant character in the entire book. Hardly stupid.

The movie was awesome. Spoilers:
Dumbledore vs Voldemort was EPIC

also, Voldemort in a suit rofl

I hated that, I always pictured him in classic evil-looking bad guy robes.

It was great and everything but it'd help if they didn't cut Radcliffe's hair so much.

Also Luna was ****ing hot. Period.

Asides from the fact she was probably the best actress in the movie. Also

Spoilers:
The Sirius death scene (or rather the whole ordeal at the Ministry scene) felt horribly cut and empty. I assume most of the people in this topic who said it was great need to take a good look at the books.

Well asides from that, if it hadn't been so short and so many parts hadn't been taken out (the bell jar scene would have been epic!) the film would have been a solid representation of the book, although I think they've modified it so much now to the point where the movies' story might just take another turn from the books. It's strange.

The ending was horrible too. Also Tonks didn't get enough screen time ;(

'Nuff said. I think this movie gets 7.5/10 (-1 for being mediocre at following the book's plot)

...in retrospect, the most horrible scene was actually the kiss because it looked dry and not "wet", and it seemed as if neither of them could kiss like...at all sghagdjhsgdfhs

As for things I disliked, here's what I'm remembering at the moment:

Regarding Cho Chang,
Spoilers:
The way they simplified Harry and Cho's relationship bothered me a bit. If I remember correctly, in the book they broke up because first Harry acted all stupid during their date, then he got into arguments with her because her friend ratted out the D.A. meetings and then they kept pissing each other off because they were both too proud to apologize and make up.

In the film, Cho herself was the one who spilled the info on D.A., and Harry was understandably upset about that. However, it's later revealed to him that she had been forced to take veritaserum and had no choice but to talk, but after that point Harry doesn't even try to talk to her, which makes him look like a complete asshole and also leaves their relationship more ambiguous than in the book. I wish they had added in one small scene of him talking to her and saying "Sorry I doubted you, but this won't work out." or something, just to tie things up.

Regarding Harry's nightmare about Mr. Weasley,
Spoilers:
This may be due to poor editing or my poor attention span, but the way it was presented in the film seemed to suggest that Dumbledore and the rest of the teachers already knew about Harry's dream before he even woke up. What the?

Seeing the movie was great and the acting for some characters were superb however it made me feel it was short which it was since it was the shortest of all Potter films.

Voldemort in a Suit was a rofl and The Weaslys grand fireworks ending were amazing.

and the Epic fight near the end was good and felt a little bit like the Avatar show.

This movie was awesome. Yes, a lot of the smaller stuff got left out and even a couple big things... But you have to consider how much they can fit into a two-and-a-half hour movie. Before anyone says "then they should make the movies longer..." One word: cost. It costed hundreds of millions to make this movie. Making it longer only makes it costlier. Rowling and the movie producer still have to make a profit.

There was only one thing that I really didn't like.

Spoilers:
Lupin, while he appears and speaks in most of the right places (except the advance guard scene), is never named. It's a shame, because the scene where Sirius died and Lupin had to restrain Harry was done really well. Lupin's actually more important than Moody in that sense, yet Moody still gets named.

This is the first book I have not read. I put it down halfway, since it's so damn long. But this movie has inspired me to pick up the book again. I don't know how the longest book became the shortest movie, but they did it.
The Harry Potter movies have always been good. While not always the best representation of the books, they've been a blast to watch and physically show characters growing older, something the book cannot do. While this is the first book I have not completed, I did notice a lot of things missing. The shrieking picture and the brain are what bugged me the most and why they keep cutting quidditch is beyond me. ( I would've really liked to see Ron on a broom) And since they had some 30 mins to spare I'm even more disappointed that they didn't. But never the less this is another great addition to the Potter movies.
The movie feels a LOT longer then it actually is, which isn't a bad thing. It drags in a few places but overall kept everyone's attention. The guys all look younger now with shorter hair and how some of the actors are growing is hilarious. (Radcliffe actually turns 18 today) The new comers are fantastic. Especially Luna. She steals every scene she's in, and makes it seem like Ron and ermioneget no screen time. The special effects were amazing, and the one scene where it all comes together easily took the cake. The movie was great, but the plot wasn't as memorable to me as the last two. But no reason to turn this one down.

I have to agree with MG.

The movie couldn't beat Harry Potter #3 and 4.
