Reposted from Pixeltendo (with some editting):
SSB EngineThis is the [MFGG] topic for discussing the SSB Engine I'm working on to accompany Ton's SSB sprite projects on Pixeltendo :
Tonberry's SSB ProjectAlso worth checking:
Random's semi-JUS SSB Project[BTW, the above links won't work if you're not a PT member...]
My goals are as follows:
-Increase my programming experience...
-Motivate spriters to create good player sprites for the projects
-Provide a fun experience while everyone waits for SSBB to come out (not that I'll be finished by then, or anything like that...)
UPDATED! V1.01!The current download (
V1.01) contains these features:
-Three playable characters
>
Mario >
Fox >
Snake-Some moves for each character
-Two stages
>(WIP) Krazoa Palace
>(WIP) Test area

http://uploadhut.com/view.php/534037.zipFeatures to be in next version:-Configurable controls
-More stages (hopefully)
-More moves
Later down the line:-More characters (especially official ones...)*
-Smashes
-Items
-Actually fighting
-Easily accessible sprite sheets
*If there are specific characters that you would like to suggest, you may. Just don't let this become another "I want
this guy in here!!1!1" topic that seems to be everywhere for SSBB.
Well, I hope you like the engine!
