SMB: The 8th Star

Story
After the events unfolded in Paper Mario, and with the Star Rod safely back in Heaven, all is peace. Bowser was defeated, and the Mushroom Kingdom was entering a glorious era of prosperity.

However, Kammy and Bowser sought revenge. They would not stand by and let the Mushroom Kingdom flourish as their evil plans had been crushed in front of their eyes.
As odd as chances were, one day, they came across an evil maniac scientist called Dr. Hasl, who had evil plans to conquer the peaceful Mushroom Kingdom as well. Bowser and the Doctor joined forces, and they used the power of technology to create a star-hungry monster – which they would use to crush the wishes of people and make them submit to their power.
Now Mario and Luigi must stop them!

1. The story's pretty good, sounds interesting.
2. Never say "kawaii" ever again. Ever.
3. If you give Mario that superpowered attack, make sure it doesn't like... reference DBZ or something.

That engine is awesome! The collisions are done very well. I also like your choice of sound effects, though perhaps you could find less commonly-used music.

There isn't a way to make Mario run, is there? (Because I couldn't figure out a way to.)

Do you want one?

Well, I guess that would only be advisable if it enhances gameplay in some way.

Some games, like Super Luigi Dreams and possibly this one as well, don't really need a running feature.

Yeah, that's right. There's no impossible gaps in this one.


But it'd be nice for the veterans who like to hold a second button and just sweep through the level. That'd be nice, I guess.

That was fun!

There is one minor glitch: If you position Mario at the main menu screen to stand where the pipes are going to rise up from, the pipe you're standing on won't rise and you won't be able to access it.

I really like the graphics, especially the background. Keep it up.

I don't know if anybody noticed, but I spent a long-ass time making it so that you can combo-stomp enemies. :/

I'll make a bonus level where you can do said feat and gain as many lives as you can :DDDD
