Originally for the minigame competition, I want to make something bigger out of this:

Goomba vs Subcon
F4 for Fullscreen is highly recommended, as you use the mouse in this one!

Mission 1

One man army Goomba has to go to Subcon and defeat Wart for Bowser.


Known Glitches:
- Slowdown Glitch.
Text has been made more efficient and is close to not lagging at all, but there might still be other slow-downs. Still, it might now be playable also on slower machines.


I hope you enjoy it.

Hint: Don't be distracted if you don't win at first try. It's hard on purpose, but if you play longer, you will get used to it.

I think there should be a checkpoint system instead of having the Goomba to respawn at the exact death spot. If you fall into pit and a log was the last touch of solid ground, Goomba may respawn on a bottomless pit and result an instant redeath, if you can't get on safe ground.

But still. No other critique is needed. This is Awesome!

EDIT OFF TOPIC: How is it going with Super Mario Bros DDX by the way?

Very good, but it takes a year to finish a mission because of how slow the score is put.

I have played this game with the blood censored and I have found a glitch in the second level when Goomba fell under the screen.

The question was:
What glitch did you find?
That you found A glitch doesn't help me much. So I asked (unpolitely) what glitch it was.

Now that you seem to have understood the question and answered it even if you didn't understand it, I do know know that you were talking about the wooden-log-respawn glitch.
Trying to fix that, as said. Thanks for pointing that out.

Well, for me, the game usually says that it runs at 60fps, and it still takes forever for the end mission thing to finish, especially in mission 3 where I got 1.(random numbers)E13. I would imagine that it would take a while to finish if it gets into scientific notation.

UPDATE:

OK, I've now written a more efficient text displaying script.
The game has been updated and shouldn't lag anymore because of the text.
If there is anything else lagging, it's not the text, that's for sure now.
Also the annoying log respawning glitch is gone.

I just noticed another glitch myself:
Due to a typo the game GIVES you 1/3 of your score instead of taking it when you die.
So please don't post your incredibly high scores until I update a second time...

You do now LOSE score when you die.

That explains how I got the E13 score then. I'll try it out again in a bit.
Oh, and thanks for the blood turn off feature. I normally don't like blood in the games I play.

Otherwise, nice. Potential is high.

If you have something .43 as the score, you have obviously not the latest version.
The new one has only rounded scores.
If that's the case, you might also have the laggy version.

If the newest one still lags, it's probably your PC as it works well on everyone elses I talked to (And one of those played the first version with 3 FPS)

"The bullets are only 1 pixel high, I think they should be bigger." Shouldn't. Those bullets are just lines drawn, they have actually NO height. And normally you should know where you shoot as you have your crosshair. You might play fullscreen (F4 as mention in the Help File) to better see your shots.

Also, the bosses with lots of HP (Mouser and Wart) have weaknesses. Shoot Mousers bombs back at himself, for example.
As for the others, if you only have one gun and no Machine power-up, you will have to take your time. You'll be able to keep those once you start getting better.


About the glitch, just don't do this anymore then. It's not like you have to have awesome skills to avoid it, more like you need awesome skills to get that one.
Might be solved by the next update though since it is annoying...
