You'll have to do some really drastically different stuff, starting in the labyrinth and then into the waterway, and then some stuff in later game.

Read this guide for Cave Story REALLY CAREFULLY. I mean it. One small thing you don't get right will make you have to do it all over again.

Just for the heck of it, I'll outline the main points here:

Spoilers:

1. Jump over Kamin when he falls. Use the red marker to help, it's a difficult jump.
2. Grab the tow rope from underneath the core before you talk to Pie. (Before you start the battle)
3. 'talk' to pie after you recieve her air tank, and take her with you.
4. Make sure you stop at the little shack in the waterway.
5. Take a nap there.
6. Read the bookshelf on the left. Learn the procedure for draining robots. THIS IS USELESS lol.
7. Talk to Pie a few times, then TAKE HER WITH YOU. QUITE IMPORTANT.
8. When you leave the waterway, She'll float away from you. Ignore this and continue.
9. When you reach the Plantation (or whatever it's called in this game), she'll be next to FuPoo in the little hole under the entrance. Talk to her, then FuPoo.
10.Return to the mimiga graveyard, and go through the door you couldn't get to before.
11. Talk to me. Answer the questions correctly.
12. Examine the mushroom badge in your inventory.
13. Talk to me again. Do an awesome fight.
14. Take me to Pie, and talk to her a couple times.
15. Good. Now, the 'Final Cave' (Forum 12) will be different.
16. Get through it, beat all those three boss fights.
17. When you're running to escape, the door to the Prefab building will be OPEN. Enter it.
18. Congratulations! You're at the secretly ridiculous level!

After I've said all that, you don't need that walkthrough anymore.
