Ok, now that I have finished the BETAs for both the 2-D and 3-D things, I have an announcement: The actual game has begun production. However, don't expect a demo for quite some time, for I am building all the levels first before putting in enemies, items,(etc) For more details, take a peek at the game's wiki page (Link on my signature)

For now, a screen:

So look at the wiki and my 3D BETA (In another topic.) for more info. Promise to update ASAHP.

I'd recommend changing the looks of that "PRESS ANY" text. It's kind of hard on the eyes, because it looks sort of double-image-ish.

This isn't actually a problem, but I personally wouldn't put spikes in an outdoor overworld stage. They seem to be more of castle-type objects. Just a minor level design nitpick, that's all.

Also, some of the tiling shown in that image is incorrect (i.e., on the far right).

Sorry if I seem to be criticizing a lot; I'm just trying to help you out. wink.gif

EDIT: I should also have mentioned that I look forward to trying this out once a demo or whatever is released.

Thanks for the comment. ^^

The only reason I have not released a demo is becaues the game still has MANY problems not limited to but include:

Moles dissapearing after popping out of hole. (I dunno why because on the first BETA it worked fine.)

The coins (when you hit a block) are seperate objects and are supposed to be destroyed after their really short animation. It worked before, but now for some reason it does not.

Collision with certain enemies suck.

The koopa's platform movement is sluggish and the animations are faster than they sould be.

These are some of the many problems I have been having. Hopefully someone can help me with these or I can fix them myself. I will gaurantee a demo before September rolls around.

Sorry for the double post, but I have an important thing to share:

There's a demo available for download.

Here are some glitches I am trying to fix.

- Mario will sometimes dissapear instead of doing the normal death action.
- The moles cannot be killed by small Mario, nor can they kill him.
- the coins are sideways and (like i said above) don't dissapear.
- To get the mushroom for the "!" block, move to the right or left side of the row of blocks and continue jumping until the mushroom falls.

There are probably many more I have not mentioned. Please report any you see.

Since the file size is too large for an attachment, you will have to download it from here.

That wasn't very good to be worth 30MB download. The level design needs less empty space and movement also has room for improvement.

Any specific areas of improvment you had in mind?
