I took Platform Example 1 form the GM website, and made this. It might not be too good, but it's a start. There is 1 known glitch.
Features:
-Mario
-Run, jump, walk, variable jumping
-Goombas
-Koopas(The shell starts moving when you jump on the koopa, jump on the shell and it will die)
-Bullet bills(Shoots them in your direction)
-Paratroopas(Jump on them to turn them into koopas)
-Monty moles(Currently you cannot jump on them while they are jumping)
-Jumping paratroopa
-Paragoomba
Might add:
-Nipper plant
-? blocks
-Powerups
-Jumping piranha

Any suggestions you might have tell me! Also report any glitches.
If you use it give credit!

Not bad. I found no glitches, but that's probably because there's no room for them.

A variable jump would be nice.

Dang, it's like I'm stupid. This is very good, and you're even a few months younger than me! I can't even come close to competing with that.

Fix the jumping though,make it variable so you don't jump at a predetermined height. The animation is too speedy,so you may want to fix that if you can. I'm pretty crappy at GM so I can't really tell you how to do that stuff.

Could you upload an .exe of this? I don't have GM7 since it runs slow on my comp. plus I can't register it >.< sorry to bother.

Good job on the variable jumping! It's getting pretty good now, especially for somebody about my age. One problem though, the bullet bills are produced WAY to much once you get to the right side of the screen, usually in the regular Mario games, one bullet bill is shot out at a time and after that bullet bill leaves the screen,then the next one is shot out.

There's one thing that's also kinda a glitch, when I jumped and landed on the left edge of the cannon, Mario was kinda shaky but it didn't effect the gameplay that much. I got a screenshot for that, and if you land like right at that position on the cannon,Mario shakes.

Nice job on your update, I see you have fixed the bullet bills and have made the koopa shell spin and zoom around just like in the old Mario games! (=

You said there were paratroopas and monty moles in this update, but I don't see them anywhere.

Excellent.
You're taking the path I'm suggesting everyone.
And it seems to work =)

Only thing you should fix is the gravity. It's too low, so everyone can jump 100 meters high. Set it to 1 (if room speed is 30)

That was awesome, specially if is an edit from that example you are talking about. nod.gif
I like the way the bullets die...I mean when they fall once you jump on them, this looks pretty cool...this is making me get that old gm6 I had and make a game out of it, it has lots of enemies A.I if you need help on making an A.I for a specific enemy let me know I could pass you the codes from mine to add more enemies to this awesome engine.

Agreed, he jumps WAY too high. It's an okay engine though.
