Sprite comp 114: Count Cannoli

I'd like the congratulate Mecha for winning the last comp. (He stared the last one so he told me to go ahead and do this one.)

Since the space bug was to big and hard I decided to switch to Count Cannoli. This was my first idea but I thought I should give spriters more of a challenge. My mistake.

You may also add goodstyle.

I'd enter this if I could draw.

There seems to be a problem with the subject, particularly the references. If people sprite this in the pose shown above, they will most likely be accused of pillow shading(if they happen to shade it), unless they design the pose in a 2-D platformer perspective or change the light source.

There, now its simpler. Its also my original idea.

I think the problem wit this theme is the lack of proper references. It may be better to change the theme to something more known and with better references available, like Axem Rangers.

Is that the guy from Wario: Master of Disguise? I'm not sure. I don't have the game, but the art style is familiar.

He doesn't do much on his own. He walks, has an awkward Mario-esque jump, and has a dramatic turn-around-and-look-up-into-the-sky thing. (He is a TV show character, after all.) Otherwise he's in his mech, the Mad Hat.
