new super mario world/ds, it seemed like a good idea at the time

dear, mfgg people.
If youve been on mfgg lately, you probibly seen one or two new super mario world/ds sheets, it was originaly just me, rapid the hedgehog, and waluigi 2, but then new people started submiting nsmw sheets, I dont report the sheets, but Im not up for the whole idea, but I let it pass. but its not going to be a problem anymore, beacouse Im not in that project anymore, I officaly quit from it, all my nsmw related sheets on mfgg are being deleted, and I will have no part in nsmw anymore. thank you.

You can't claim a theme to be stolen from you, dude.

People have a right to sprite in any style they please. Perhaps Nintendo isn't so keen on the fact that you're redoing their company mascot, but they'll "let it pass".

And as weak an example that was, it still bears meaning. Keep in mind that you're also ripping off styles.

I don't quite understand.

Basically this.

He started a project something along the lines of redoing Super Mario World graphics in New Super Mario Bros style. Other people followed suit. He is upset and (I guess) he wants something done about it.

Oh, I see. After re-reading it, and then reading this, I don't think he wants something done, but he's not doing the project anymore.

If I may inquire, what exactly is "New Super Mario World"?

I'm guessing it's a NSMB-styled SMW game/sprite edits.

Or something like that.
