Yeah, hi, this is the first level of Super Mario Bros. Only this time, Mario can't stop running! So you have to answer simple addition questions (much like Brain Age but without subtraction) to gain Jump Chances. Jump Chances let you jump. But you can only have one at a time, and if you flub on a question, you lose a chance (if you have any) and you go faster.

If Mario is forced to stop or runs into an enemy, he dies. So make sure you answer the questions precisely, correctly, and quickly; one false answer and you may be doomed.

Also, because your jumping is limited, the game is a little bit of strategy as well, because you have to avoid all obstacles. Jump in the correct place in the correct way and you'll complete the level.

Also, after completing the level, you restart it... faster. After the first play-through, at Mach 1, you go through the level at Mach 2... and then Mach 3... all the way up to Mach 5, which is five times faster than Mach 1. So yeah.

You get a secret by completing all the levels (yeah, right) so go for it.

The game is pretty good, but if you slide your fingers over all the numbers at once, mario will move super fast.

Maybe adding a specific variable would help.

UPDATE!

Includes most of the things from the first level of Super Mario Bros. It's only missing Koopas (can't make shell kicking because... obviously) and powerups (pretty obvious there too).

The first level IS entirely possible. You just need to time everything correctly. It may be HARD, but it IS possible. Enjoy.

The things, that make this game overly hard are:
- Lack of variable jump
- When you jump on Goomba from too high, you die.
- You constantly have to shift your eyes between keyboard and screen to see what button you're about to press (otherwise you'll often and accidentally press the button right next to the one you were supposed to press) (having the options on the screen and having to click on them would solve this problem).

Hmm... never noticed that Goomba glitch.

Variable jumping? That'd be a little hard to implement... unless I make solving a problem give you a jump chance, where you can press a button... but you'd only have one in stock at a time. I can do that.

Click controls? Sure! I can add that option. I was also planning the calculator pad controls. Not too hard. That was a great idea. Thanks for the feedback!

I think it would be cool if you started the game with a level that is a bit easier (gives you more time to calculate).
Like, start the game with a level that goes just straight and has some time between the goombas and pipes.
It's really difficult, especially as this should be educational and not for people who already can calculate like a calculator.
