Here's a little engine test I put togeather.
It's for a Mario Fangame, but mario's just a placeholder right now...

2nd Versuion!

Features:

More koopas!
Koopas can attack!
You can get hit!
You can (try to) dodge!
New Mario Graphics!

Wrong on both counts.

Unfortunently, I can't pin down the graphic style I want.

MLSS has many custom sprites already, but not for the main character, and I suck at making sprites in that style.

SMB3/SMW has almost no custom sprites, including the sprites of who I want, but it's easier to make them.

I plan on adding more features, such as new characters and character specific moves.

Planned so far:

Character: Technique, Special Move

Mario: Jump, Ultra Fireball

Viewtiful Joe: Flame Shield (from mach speed), 6-Machine Strike

???: Float, Pure Heart (this is another hint, by the way)

I need to get the third character's sprites done...

Don't download it. It's just a regular platformer with Mario who doesn't even have a jumping sprite.

The only thing interesting in this is the slow down ability, and even that can be done in 10 seconds.
