Luigi Kart, Early Stages...

Peaches Castle:

Im working on making the races long sense its not a circut and you dodge obstacles and keep going right.So This is all I can offer this one level but I will have more later.
Gameplay:
Move to the right and avoid obstacles if you hit an obstacle you will spin around then you will be able to keep going.Hiting the stairs will stop youre kart.
Obstacles for peaches castle(First half inside):
Book cases(Hiting the first shelf will make you spin)
Support Poles(Hitting the bottom of the pole will make you spin)
Stairs(Only on the side)
Second half of peaches castle outside obstacles:
Pirhana plant tube(Facing sideways hiting the plant makes you spin.Going through the tube could do something...)
water(on the side)
Shroob UFOS(Hiting there beam circle makes you spin then move on)
Level Ideas: Who you race there:
Peaches castle Toadsworth
Tadpole pond Mallow?
bean bean castle Peasly
shroob castle Queen shroob?
shroob vim factory Shroob
Star Hill? Shadow Mario?


Oh and theres no secret charctyers just luigi(so far It might change)

smw sprites don't go in a MSS car.

It looks like your gonna use mixed graphics, don't do that!!! you'll just make your game look slobby because of that.

If all obstacles do is make you temporarily spin or stop, then where's the challenge in the game? It sounds like you can't even die, and aren't racing against anyone else.

You are racing other people for peaches castle its toadworth I have a list.Im not trying to use mixed graphics its all I could find.And if you get hit bye a shell it makes you lose a life(You have 3 lives)This is an extreml early beta.

Thats what you do in the rea Mario Kart games.

Losing sound has 2 wich play in this order
Luigi goes nooo(note all sounds from M&L)
Then he starts crying
Speed boost:
Luigi says lucky me
Shell:
Luigi Says bye bye
Opening credits:
Mario says luigi
then luigig goes blblblblblblbl
Bannana(Hit):
luigi goes blblblblblblbl again.

Replace the M&L sprites with something that fits with the backround.

Don't bitmix.

Anyways, that environment looks incredibly huge for the kart size. Advise condensing the size.

Oh yeah, I didn't read your post correctly - sorry. I didn't realize that it said you did race other people.


@Elyk: What do you mean? What I described is not like in an official MK game, because you do race people in the official games. Of course, that's neither here nor there as far as this game is concerned, because poeman said you do in fact race people in it.

Well, hitting an obstacle in the real Mario Kart games causes you to either stop, spin, or both.

...I said what I said because I thought at the time (though wrongly) that you didn't race anyone, and the object was only to get through the tracks/levels and avoid obstacles.

Apparently I wasn't the only one who misread a post in this thread.
