| QUOTE (lobsterninja @ Aug 19 2007, 05:39 PM) | | so can you use a mouse and still do stuff like this in open canvas without killing yourself? I've always wanted to try OC but never have gotten around to it, is the learning curve particularly steep? |
Well, with Open Canvas (at least with a mouse), if you're used to babying yourself with Photoshop, learning to use Open Canvas well might be tough. If you're used to MSPaint, OC is like a breath of fresh air. Imagine OC as a better MSPaint, but nothing as fancy as Photoshop (like filters and selectable brush types... However you can change the way your brushes work nonetheless). Also, in 1.1, I can't seem to make it so that the layers aren't transparent all the time. I haven't upgraded, since OC isn't really supposed to be free after 1.1.
