Doesnt really count as a glitch but by the time I usually get anything to show up on the screen on my old NES it is usually not at all what it should be, full of random lines, floating enemies, legs on top of screen while body on bottom, garbled sound etc


I've actually had some rather funny times trying to play a game in such a condition

Thats a thumbnail linked to the larger image.
If I'd posted the image itself in this thread, I'd have put the warning in the description.

Map 1 in DKC Is designed like that,

My guess is they had origonally planed for you to be able to start and exit at either end of that stage to get to part 1 and part 2 of the map,
but later scrapped it.

I used to abuse the hell out of the Link's Awakening screen-jump glitch. The one where you press select to bring up the map at the exact moment Link has touched the edge of a screen, and if done properly, after you close the map you'll be on the next area but Link will still be on the same side of the screen he was when you pressed select (effectively, this lets you jump across a screen and glitch your way over obstacles).

im Megaman X, in Armored armadillo's stage, if you jump at the Last moment on the cart that flings you behind one of the tunneling machines, you get vaccumed forward and can make it past it.

you're supposed to be able to go in front of the second digging machine in that stage with some trickery, pretty obvious by the fact that the heart upgrade in that stage is impossible to get if the digging machine passes it before you

Regarding that Bowser glitch. I once Jumped on Bowser AND the axe at the same time. What happened is that Mario made that shrink sound, while Bowser fell off the bridge. Then the usual "Princess is in another castle" scene plays except mario is transparent and doesn't move in frames. Then when he hit a block, a mushroom would come out, and touching it makes him shrink. I then got him a fireflower, and he became midget fire Mario.

I think this is a glitch, but in M&LSS, an Ice Snifit shot an iceball into the air and then I stepped the Snifit, went into battle and killed it. And then the iceball hit me and I fought it again.
