Awesome, I have a sticky. That's one dream come true. (How sad am I?)
Also, in a recent game I played, it was using a room size of 320 X 240, which meant playing it in full screen made the objects jump up and down by a pixel constantly. But I suppose that leads back to games in small windows.

-Getting an engine and just changing the levels
-Getting an engine and just changing the sprites

Though I like it when people change the levels and the sprites.

Other than that, I wish people could master a trick Ninendo did, where if an object is out of view, it would be inactive, as to get the possible rate of play out of hardware.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but this is really easy to do with Klik software.

Lack of good Concept in fangames.

For instance, Mario platformer shooters, Super Mario Bros. 4s and sequels to Super Mario World starring Luigi instead of Mario OMG BEST GAMA EVAR 10/10 LOLOL.

Why i NEVER saw ANY fangame related to Delfino Island, Beanbean Kingdom, Rougueport, etc, for example?

...I don't see any problem with "Super Mario Bros. 4's", as long as they're interesting to play and preferably have some new features or combinations of old features.

Very classic-style fangames that don't have anything from newer Mario games in them can have excellent and unique concepts.

Using any of GM's defualt functions, such as F4 to go to full screen, Esc to exit
the entire game
, F5 and F6 to save, and F1 for info. In fact, that is the only
thing I have against Ultramario's games (They are still awesome!)

I don't see the problem with F1 being used for Game Info, myself. It's just like pulling out an instruction booklet at any time while playing an official Mario game, to check on something.

I really hate unessecry sprite clashing. What I mean by unessecary is that SMW sprites going with ML sprites, for example.

Yeah F1 is good, because it works as help for other software, and F4, because people usually don't bother mentioning how to make the games full screen. I think F5/F6 is more for testing purposes, and shouldn't really be left in the final project.

Levels composed of long strips of straight ground and loads of goombas. Games that offer nothing but SMB3 gameplay. And yeah, any of GM's default functions: pop-up windows, particles, health bar and built in hud. Also levels that are just a big maze because the maker has no clue how to make complicated levels that look good.

What's wrong with WASD?
I find it more flexible than UDLR. (That's arrow keys btw)
Well, where you can use the mouse that is. Otherwise UDLR is better.
