Having sarcasm is an essential component in dealing with ten-year-old whiners.

And threatening to take LONGER for updates if they keep whining.

This should be done.

You would know. I see you frightening the poor little children in the updates >:X

One thing I think should be introduced is an automatic decline of a person's submissions if they start chasing up the updates.

Maybe the first time would be let to slide (this is probably also suicidal), but subsequent times would be declined without question.

You can still submit if you're muted, actually. The thing is, they never get the point after a mute and it'd honestly be really stupid to ban someone for it either. I can count off a few people in my head (and in the admin CP) who consistently violate the update rule even after being cautioned against it.

In that case, go for it.

Seriously, the only reasons we'd ever regret it are:
1. we lose content
2. people leave

However, the people and content we'd be getting rid of wouldn't really be much of a loss. The only submissions that take a long time are the bad ones, so the only update-chasers are the ones who make bad submissions. So I can't say their submissions will be missed for their duration.

Of course, de-muting them when two updates come by is also a good idea.

Listen, mang. Nobody knows who you are. I'm sorry, but your chances are pretty slim by what I see. They're not gonna just say "hey, who is this guy? oh well go forth"

Mute them, and wait two updates to un-mute them, or a month.

Not very difficult to understand.

MarioGames was my second username. I wasn't on much in the beginning, but I was there. I had a first username which I had forgotten the password of (sorry for the dup) and now the username escapes me as well.

I like that idea, but then again i've been muted for quite a while so I think my oppinion might be a bit predjudiced.

what shant they be doing? site updater?
