Also, how does "out of resources" equate out to "you am banned" or "this site is blocked"? O_o

I was wondering this myself.

QUOTE (Super Deluxe Mario @ Aug 29 2007, 05:26 AM)
I get 3600GB (3.6 Terabytes?) of bandwidth monthly on my Server, and I don't use hardly use 1% of that. I'm not stating who's is better, but that's just me. No one might want my opinion, but it's there if you want to hear my say.
EDIT: I pay $10 per Month.

And there's probably a clause in the TOS that will cut you off at 1/50th of that. Rather, MFGG's problem is that on oversold shared hosting such as that, we would be terminated long before we even dented the bandwidth for monopolizing other server resources such as CPU and RAM. That's why my hosting is more expensive than most shared hosting people buy, which always advertises huge amounts of space and bandwidth.

$42.50

is this just for MFGG alone or does it include the other sites you host

I think that if the applications for the staff gets a good staff member that accepts enough to keep most of the people on the main site happy, then they probably won't have a need to comment there. Or you could just go to a different place.

Either way, disable comments.

As much as I think disabling the comments is a great idea, what's so wrong with mainsiters posting less retarded commentary? It's not that damn hard.

Yeah but there's not really a need for comments for updates anyway. We've got a news forum now for that. The rest is just chase ups, stupidity and stuff that could go elsewhere.

I say disable comments in updates, and delete all the previous comments from previous updates. That would probably clear up a TON of bandwidth and you could probably bring MFGG back online earlier.

i wouldn't imagine that disabling comments would do much in respect to saving bandwidth, as the games/resources themselves are downloaded regularly and would eat through it hundreds of times faster
