When I stomp on a goomba I die as well as the goomba. whats wrong?

Delete the collision event with mg_dude in the object Goomba_left

Try making Goomba_left not be a parent of squishgoom (i.e., give squishgoom no parent object).

If you want squishgoom to share events with Goomba_left, you can add them manually. I'm pretty sure you didn't even particularly want that, though, since squishgoom's image_speed gets automatically changed to that of Goomba_left through the inherited Step event, rather than having the image_speed specifically given in its (squishgoom's) own Create event.


P.S. Unrelated, but for goodness' sakes, please make the dying music louder. It can't be heard at all currently. (You'll need to use "Edit Sound" to do that, though, but it should be easy.)
