Why is everybody making mockups?

I thought we had to make sprites n gameboy style.

Here's ma terrible tiny gameboy sprite

just a little preview, its based kinda off Super Mario Land when the fake Daisy reveals herself, I mean, c'mon, that's gotta be a kick in the nuts for Mario.

Pixel art has been in sprite competions before. Just look at sprite compo 112's entries.

Mine isnt a mockup its a cut scene or does that count as one

I'm doing a mockup, because I like mockups and I like the Gameboy pallete. This allows for a blend of the two as one of many possibilities. It is a WIP.

I dunno if this has been asked yet, but as long as we provide a normal B&W entry, are we allowed to Super Gameboy-ize it?

Yes, yes, another mockup, peeps. DEAL WIT' IT. This is Super Smash Bros. as if on a Gameboy. It should count because it's got only Mario in it. I might Super Gameboy-ize it later...

Also, the far BG (the squaers) is kinda crappy, but hey, we've only 4 colors, B&W mind you, and that's really how it would look on a GB.

Because I like mockups, and I like color limits, so I make a GB color mockup.
