I haven't lived but 18 some years so I dunno how long things like this 'last', like the aforementioned Pearl Harbor or such, but I also didn't know anyone who died, and actually slept through it. Given I don't watch TV anymore much anyway, I never have to deal with much of the depressing reprises unless the TV is left on.
When I do however, there's one thing I always notice... they're trying to 'remember' the people who died... but they always seem to show the attacks over and over. Are they really doing any honoring by showing what is basically a zoomed out video of thousands of people dieing horrible deaths? That always bothered me in these types of things, bombings, hurricanes, whatever, isn't that a bit distasteful?
Sorry, I've always wanted to get that out.
