I think there's already a topic for this... but for now I'll just say that I'm kinda ticked that I just got a new iPod in July and I now want one of these, but I'll make due for another 2 or so years until an even cooler iPod is released.

Both are total ****.
"If it isn't broken, don't fix it." won't work because it's ALWAYS broken and every time they try to "Fix" it it just gets more and more broken.
Sure it's cool to have awesome stuff but this is just too much.

If I was going to get an iPod Touch, I might as well put down another 100$ to get an iPhone and eliminate another object in my pocket.

if i was going to get an ipod touch, i may as well set my 300 dollars on fire rather than putting it in my pocket and it snapping in half.

these skinny ipods are terrible and i am not enjoying how shiny and black everything is. where is the white love?

except buying an iphone forces you into a 1 year contract with AT&T or something. Which could be very lame depending on your phone provider preference

as for me I have AT&T but I dont really need that contraption

New Nano: The old nano is too easy to lose, we don't need a smaller version.
Touch: PDAs already exist.

welcome to marketing:

1 marketing gigabyte (technically an actual "giga"byte): 1,000,000,000 bytes
1 actual gigabyte (called a "gibi"byte but no one ever uses it): 1,073,741,824 bytes

so:

80,000,000,000 bytes (advertised 80GB) / 1,073,741,824 bytes ≈ 74.5 GB

One thing that Microsoft does that Mac won't.

Give out the true sizes.

On the proper note, I don't care for iPods.

Give out the true sizes.

1) nobody does this in the advertising specs
2) every system does this after you plug the drive in and check for real
