Are you just trying to start another argument? Because I see NO sense in the consumer thinking this.

No argument. I just feel that iTunes dying a bit more is a good thing. Too lazy, will explain later.

k here goes

IMO itunes is bad because it encourages purchasing of one song as opposed to just one CD, thus discouraging new artists to create interesting concept albums (ie The Wall) which are sort of iPod unfriendly (albums like the aforementioned one is the type of music you take the time to sit down and listen to in it's entirety). Instead, we get a bunch of lame, similar music all connected by a similar theme, or even worse, no theme at all, just a collection of music, which, imo, sucks.

Okay...well how does that relate to TV Shows?

I heard of this a while ago, but it doesn't really affect me too much.
I guess if I ever wanted to download a video NBC produced, it would matter, but most of TV shows I see live anyway.

They did this to decrease the availability of their shows so that you might actually have to watch the show as it airs.

My local paper had a big article on this a few days ago.

I don't download music from iTunes, but I actually think that being able to pay for an individual song greatly benefits the consumer; why pay thirteen dollars for an album for the one or two songs you like?

That's what most people think. But because of it the CD industry has been steadily declining.

Not that I ever purchased CDs anyway.

Well I can think of many ways it helps NBC, but I couldn't think of one that would make it better for us.

imo most songs are likable if you give them time. Immediately declaring a song garbage after one listen is stupid.
